- All consignments accepted for transportation by the carrier is carried entirely at the owner’s risk.
- The consignor is responsible to fulfill necessary forms, provide documents, declaration and said to contain, etc., required under the laws in force prevailing from time to time. The firm is not responsible in the event of goods being detained or seized or confiscated by the government authorities for want of deficiencies in the said documents or for any other reasons.
- The firm will have the liberty to detain such consignments if there is responsible suspicion of wrong declaration and the consignor shall be responsible to compensate the firm for any damage or losses, caused by wrong declaration.
- Prohibited, restricted and banned goods should not be booked under any circumstances.
- The company shall always reserve the right to reweigh,remeasure and recalculate the freight at any stage
- Incase of doubting shortage of contents, consignments have to be taken open delivery in the presence of our staff before taking delivery. An open delivery or shortage certificate is to be obtained from the firm. No claims will be accepted whatsoever after taking delivery of goods.
- All goods that are not taken delivery from our office within 7 days from the date of arrival are subject to demurrage at prevailing rates of the firm. It is the responsibility of the consignee to find out the time of arrival of goods booked to them. Open delivery, shortage and claims will not be accepted for demurrage goods. Demurrage will be charged for goods booked on Self basis after 15 days from the date of arrival.
- The firm reserves the right to sell the consignments that are lying undelivered at a branch for more than 45 days from the date of booking without any notice. In case of perishable goods lying undelivered, the firm has the right to dispose within 48 hours upon arrival without any notice.
- If the consignment is booked on door delivery basis, the firm will attempt only once to deliver the consignment at the door. If the consignee fails to accept the consignment when the firm approaches for delivery at their door in the first attempt, additional door delivery and storage charges as applicable has to be paid for consecutive attempts
- Rebooking of consignment will be accepted in as is condition and paymode has to be paid only.
- Proof of delivery will not be available after one month from the date of delivery.
- The company is not responsible for the loss or damage of goods by breakage, leakage, evaporation, theft, road under repairs or weather conditions, natural calamities, strikes, lock-outs, riots, explosion, fire or accident of vehicles in which goods are transported or fire at godown where goods are stored or due to any act of God and any other reasons beyond human control.
- The court in Salem city alone shall have jurisdiction in receipt of all claims and matters arising under the consignment entrusted for transport
- The very acceptance of this consignment note binds the consignor to all terms & conditions and signature on the face of the consignment note is not essential
- If the consignment is booked on self basis, the firm will deliver the consignment to the person producing the consignee copy. The consignee copy obtained by the consignor from the booking branch should be surrendered by the consignee at the time of delivery. The consignee copy has to be sealed and signed by both the consignor and consignee. In case the consignee copy is not produced at the time of delivery and the same is lost or misplaced etc. delivery will not be given unless the consignor executes a stamped indemnity bond in the prescribed form by the firm. If a self consignee copy is endorsed to a bank collection, the consent at the concerned bank in writing is essential to deliver the consignment without the consignee copy in addition to indemnity bond
- Consignments booked with us are not covered with transit insurance. Transit insurance if specifically required can be organised. Insurance charges have to be borne by the consignor or consignee.
